Role
The Business Analyst plays a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and
technology solutions across Monument’s growing banking platform.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you’ll gather and analyse requirements,
design smart processes and support the delivery of strategic projects that enhance
efficiency, scalability, and client experience.
This role exists to ensure that change at Monument is smart, scalable, and evidence
based, helping us build a bank that’s agile, data-driven and fit for the future.
How You’ll Make an Impact
• Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, and Product to define
and document clear, actionable business requirements.
• Translate complex business challenges into clear technical specifications
developers and delivery teams can act on with confidence.
• Support the end-to-end project lifecycle - from requirements and prioritisation
through to testing, delivery, and post-implementation review.
• Map and optimise workflows to enhance operational efficiency, drive
automation, and improve data accuracy.
MONUMENT - PUBLIC INFORMATION
• Collaborate with compliance, risk, and finance teams to ensure all initiatives
align with regulatory and operational standards.
• Use data and analytics to provide insights that inform decision-making,
prioritisation, and performance measurement.
• Create and maintain documentation - process maps, user stories, functional
specs and test cases - ensuring clarity and alignment at every stage.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to build consensus and shared
understanding.
• Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for
simplification, digitisation, and smarter delivery.
In your first year, you will:
• Deliver requirements and process design for 2-4 key transformation or
technology initiatives
• Establish clear documentation and requirements standards for the COO change
function
• Build strong relationships with Product, Technology and Risk partners
• Identify automation opportunities that meaningfully reduce manual effort or
operational risk.
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is
• A skilled business analyst with proven experience in digital, operational, or
financial services environments.
• Analytical and structured, able to translate ambiguity into actionable
requirements.
• Experienced in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder
management across technical and business domains.
• Confident working with agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence,
or Notion.
• Comfortable working with data using Excel, SQL, or visualisation tools (e.g.
Power BI, Tableau) to inform analysis and recommendations.
• Technically fluent, with a good understanding of APIs, integrations and data
flows.
• Highly organised, capable of managing multiple priorities and balancing detail
with delivery pace.
• A confident communicator who can build trust and influence stakeholders.
• Curious and forward-thinking, with a genuine interest in how AI and automation
can transform banking operations and client experience.
Desirable:
• Experience in banking, fintech, or another regulated financial institution.
• Familiarity with core banking systems, particularly Mambu or similar platforms.
• Understanding of payments, lending, or savings products.
• Business Analysis certification (CBAP, BCS, or IIBA) or relevant degree.
