The Role
The Operations Manager will work alongside to the Depot Manager, you’ll take ownership of operational performance, ensuring productivity, efficiency and outstanding service across the depot. You’ll lead from the front developing talent, driving KPIs, protecting our unique courier network and ensuring our operation runs safely, compliantly and cost-effectively.
Working closely with Hubs, Trunking and Head Office, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a high-performing, customer-obsessed culture. From optimising processes and managing financial controls to leading performance reviews and succession planning, you’ll ensure sustainable operational capability for today, and the future!
This is a hands-on leadership position within a dynamic 24-hour operation. While the role is primarily Day shift Monday to Friday, flexibility is essential to meet business needs, predominantly. Your ability to lead, motivate and drive performance will have a direct impact on operational results and overall depot success.
Responsibilities as a Depot Operations Manager
Lead and manage depot operations and admin teams to deliver a high-performance, results-driven environment
Drive productivity and cost-efficiency through effective KPI and SLA management
Champion a culture of engagement, inclusion, accountability and continuous improvement
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, ISO standards, O Licence regulations, WTD and AWR
Protect and optimise our courier network and third-party partnerships
Oversee financial, service and operational reporting within agreed timescales
