The successful candidate will join a highly skilled team of project support engineers providing technical infrastructure support to UK Government and Commercial customers. The role will require a flexible working ethic and a pragmatic approach to IT support.
Successful candidates will have great customer service and communication skills. They will have a keen interest in innovation alongside a willingness to implement new ways of working and automation they must also be working onsite 5 days a week.
Perform Daily checks
Carry out Patching, Windows, VMWare
BAU Support
Responsible for delivery of assigned tasks within the delivery cycle of a project
Hands-on experience with VMWare ESXi, vROPS, SRM, SCCM, SCOM, Windows 2012 - 2019, Mcafee/Trellix
Hands-on experience with HP C7000 Blade chassis and interconnect modules
Hands-on experience of scripting with powershell / powercli
Understanding of Microsoft AD, DNS and GPO
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyse complex technical issues.
Manage and troubleshoot ESXi, Windows servers, clusters, and associated technologies to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Participates as part of a team and maintains good relationships with team members, internal teams, other eco partners and the customer.
Work without direction and with customer nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks
Understands a broad spectrum of the company's technology, Windows 2008 to 2019, VMware ESXis, in order to deliver part of a detailed technical design, which meets customer requirements.
Maintain documentation for systems.
