We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Compliance Manager – Products and Payments.

Supporting the UK Commercial Bank, you’ll be part of the Regulatory Compliance oversight function. With a keen eye for detail, you’ll provide advice and challenge for your line of business in relation to Regulatory Compliance standard, policies, and controls specifically related to Payments and Products.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role you’ll:

  • Work closely with Senior Management to challenge the first line of defence when Regulatory Compliance risks arise from Payments and Products
  • Review, interpret, and support embedding of policies, procedures, and change activity from a compliance point of view.
  • Be the first point of contact on matters related to Regulatory Compliance for our UK Commercial Bank’s payments and products
  • Interpret and work with the business to embed and ensure adherence to policies and regulatory change

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Strong knowledge and experience of risk management and an understanding of Regulatory Compliance risks
  • Strong working knowledge and experience of financial services, the payments industry, and regulatory landscape
  • Proven ability to liaise with and influence senior stakeholders and wider teams particularly around business and regulatory implications of analysis and findings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with thorough attention to detail
  • The ability to understand and navigate complex organisation structures
  • Proven track record in leading teams in a fast-changing environment
  • Evidence of dealing with confidential and sensitive information or issues
