Job Title: Project Engineering Manager
Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Circa £65,000 plus executive car allowance dependant on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
Collaborating with the Project Manager and supporting in the successful delivery of all engineering aspects of the project
Creating an appropriate Project Engineering Management Plan
Advising the Project Manager on engineering risk, devising a plan to mitigate this risk
Implementing the design configuration and ensuring, via controlled and authorised change, that the design configuration is declared and maintained
Complying and following LCM & RIBA project lifecycle processes
Implementing projects to BAE Systems Engineering Based framework
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Degree qualified or equivalent experience ((electrical/ civil / mechanical / nuclear (or similar)
Experience of modern engineering techniques within complex, multifunctional organisations
Experience of leading and managing engineering teams within a project environment
Desirable:
Membership of a relevant professional body (registered with the Engineering Council)
Experience of working on complex infrastructure projects

The Infrastructure Project Engineering Team:
Collaborating with the infrastructure function, the team supports the delivery of major infrastructure projects by providing engineering expertise and input across a diverse range of initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a significant portfolio, ensuring BAE’s infrastructure is future ready. You’ll have opportunities for advancement and development within the project engineering environment and the wider teams. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
