To be successful as an “Oracle EPM Developer", you should have experience with:

Person Specification:

• Excellent Communication skills - including the ability to convey information to non-technical colleagues in a concise and clear way.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

• Degree/Masters in a technical, science, engineering, or mathematical discipline (preferred but not essential.

• Excellent understanding of Oracle EPM systems (Essbase, PBCS, EPBCS, PCMCS and EPCM etc.) from Modelling side which includes Write BRs, Custom BRs, Groovy scripts, Navigation Flow, closing process through task manager, ASO tuple-based calculation, Flex form, Security matrix including cell security vs data validation, plausibility validation, trend Analysis, Predictive planning, workflow setup etc.

• Excellent understanding of Oracle EPM reporting systems which includes Managerial Reports, Finance Reports, Narrative Report including Report bursting etc.

• Proven experience in the build data integration solutions which includes Data management, EPM Agent with RDBMS technologies, data Syncs/Data Maps, data exports & import mechanism etc.

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in implementing Project, Financial, Capex etc. modules in Hyperion Planning.

• Cloud based environments and integration between on-premises and cloud-based solutions.

• Other programming experience such as Java, JavaScript and PowerShell used in a business context would be useful.

• Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
