Senior Manager - Product Engineering
- The purpose of the role is to manage product development, product governance and Go To market strategy for the assigned product within global electronic payment portfolio e.g. real time payments.
- The role requires an individual to engage with product stakeholders and risk stewards at all levels across the globe, ensuring that Global Payment Solutions (GPS) drives delivery of products launch/material enhancements. The individual needs to ensure that our products remain compliant with regulation and global standards while managing risks. This role requires the incumbent to be comfortable in dealing with ambiguous situations.
In this role, you will:
- Assisting global product leads in the development of Client Connectivity proposition strategy and the execution of strategic initiatives in support of product strategy.
- Global/Regional co-ordination of the Client Connectivity incidents – liaising with Operations and Technology
- Supporting development of product enhancement and innovation to create new revenue streams based on client demand and approved investment budget.
- Contributing to establishing global standards, proposition consistency and implementation of best practices.
- Assisting with managing product governance cycle and establishing processes and framework to ensure effective control of risks.Building a strong network and working relationships with key stakeholders including IT and Operations.
- Supporting regional/local initiatives and contributing towards meeting the respective objectives.
- Developing product collaterals and establishing strong product library to ensure product know-how is effectively shared.
- Acquiring understanding of market trends and competitors’ offering.Able to lead and influence a large group of people, who will not have a formal reporting relationship with the individual.Ability to co-ordinate with multiple stakeholders at global level, and get necessary decisions taken within desired timelines.
To be successful you will:
- Minimum of 12 years work experience in Transaction banking, preferably in Payment’s product management
- Proven experience in product management, product commercialization, IT and operations, process improvements or project management disciplines.
- Practical knowledge in solution development, business case development, requirement analysis are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze complex problems, interpret customer and/or operational needs and develop integrated, creative solutions.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or transaction banking functions with an exposure to Product Management.
- Experience in implementing large scale product development project.
- Working knowledge of corporate treasury management processes particularly around cash and Client Connectivity management; relevant certification is a plus.Familiarity with product governance and project management disciplines.
- Understanding of relevant regulatory environment and impact on Client Connectivity services.
