About Us
Camascope is a fast-growing health tech company on a mission to modernise and simplify healthcare delivery through thoughtful, connected technology. Our platform supports care providers across pharmacies, care homes, and clinical partners, helping ensure medication is delivered safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Today, our products are used daily by tens of thousands of carers and nurses in care homes across the UK. We’re now expanding beyond the care home into home-based care, tackling one of the biggest and most complex challenges in healthcare delivery.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Designer to help design and launch a brand-new product, extending our existing mobile app and web platform into new markets. Working closely with a Product Manager and Engineering, you’ll shape the product from early discovery through to live use, designing end-to-end journeys that may sit alongside or integrate with third-party systems.
This role sits firmly in a 0→1 phase. You’ll lead design work through MVP discovery, shaping core workflows ahead of build and pilot. You’ll be responsible for producing an MVP-ready design package — including key flows and edge cases — so Engineering can deliver with confidence. As the primary designer for this product area, you’ll run discovery alongside the PM, own the design backlog, and drive design decisions from early problem framing through to what ultimately ships.
You’ll sit within the Product team and collaborate closely with Engineering, Customer Success, and external partners.
What you’ll own
· End-to-end design for mobile and web experiences used by carers, nurses, and managers.
· Discovery and problem framing for new home care workflows.
· User research planning and execution, including field research in real care settings.
· User journeys that may span multiple systems or integrations, while remaining usable and technically feasible.
· Wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs ready for delivery.
· Design iteration based on user feedback, data, and operational learnings.
· Contribution to shared design patterns and systems as the product suite evolves.
Tools & skills
You’ll be comfortable working with tools such as:
· Design & prototyping: Figma (or equivalent)
· Research & collaboration: FigJam, Miro, or similar
· Delivery & collaboration: Jira, Linear, Slack, or similar
You don’t need to be an expert in every tool listed, but you should be confident picking up new tools quickly and working independently.
Performance & impact
You’ll be expected to:
· Show how your design work improves usability, safety, and adoption.
· Demonstrate clear reasoning and trade-offs behind design decisions.
· Work closely with Product and Engineering to deliver pragmatic, high-quality solutions.
· Contribute meaningfully to product outcomes and company OKRs.
What we’re looking for
· 3–5 years’ experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, or similar.
· A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design, not just UI.
· Clear examples of work you personally led.
· Experience designing mobile-first workflows and complex systems.
· Strong user research and usability testing skills.
· Experience collaborating beyond a single team — for example, contributing to or running workshops with partner teams or external stakeholders to align on problems, workflows, or constraints.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
· Comfortable working in ambiguity and shaping solutions from early problem statements.
Portfolio examples are strongly preferred and will be requested during interviews, including examples of shipped product work, user flows, and real app or web interfaces.
Interview Process & Portfolio Review
As part of the interview process, you’ll be asked to walk us through your portfolio, using specific, real examples of products you’ve designed and shipped.
We’ll look for:
· Your role and level of ownership in the work.
· How you approached discovery, research, and decision-making in real projects.
· How you collaborated with Product and Engineering.
· Reflection on outcomes, trade-offs, and learnings.
Please be prepared to share concrete examples of actual designs, including real app or web UIs you personally worked on. We’re most interested in what you built, how it was used, and why decisions were made — not hypothetical or conceptual exercises.
Practical details
· Hybrid role, with 3 days per week in our Farringdon (London) office.
· Regular travel for user research and partner visits.
· Ability to travel to poorly connected locations is important — access to a car is a strong benefit.
Why Join Camascope?
· Be part of a mission-driven company transforming healthcare through thoughtful technology.
· Work in a supportive, growth-focused, and flexible environment.
· Contribute directly to products that impact lives and patient outcomes.
· Collaborate with a global, passionate team working on real-world healthcare solutions.
