Position: Despatch Clerk
Contract Type: Permanent – 40 hours
Location: Ryton on Dunsmore
Shift: Monday – Friday / 19:00-03:30

What You’ll Do:
This is a key operational role in the Control Room, reporting to the Duty Process Manager, as part of a team responsible for the coordination of the Linehaul vehicles transitioning on site. Also pivotal in the day-to-day management of the Ryton based Linehaul drivers.
Key Role Responsibilities
Understand and interpret Linehaul schedules as produced by the Linehaul Planners.
Matching of drivers to schedules.
Production of outbound loads and load manifests for driver despatch purposes.
Briefing and debriefing of site-based drivers including agency drivers.
Downloading of Digicards and production of infringement letters if relevant.
Completion of Agency Declaration Forms and Agency Hours Forms.
Allocation and recording of vehicles issued.
Processing of vehicle defect notes in line with legal and company policy requirements.
Vehicles inbound and outbound processes via Yard Management System.
Movement and positioning of load units on site via Yard Management System.
Liaison with warehouse staff regarding inbound and outbound loads.
Production of internal operational reports as required
