Advert for Teaching Learning and Students Coordinator

The University of Manchester Library seeks a Teaching Learning and Students Coordinator to join the Teaching, Learning and Students (TLS) team. The TLS Coordinator supports the delivery and coordination of the Library’s teaching and learning services.

Working within the TLS team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Library to support teaching and learning programmes, deliver teaching, provide enquiry support services, and contribute to the work/coordination of the Library Student team.

There are two positions available:

1 x permanent position

1 x fixed term for 12 months

About the Role

The Teaching, Learning and Students Coordinator supports the delivery and coordination of the Library’s teaching and learning services. Working as part of the Teaching, Learning and Students team, you will collaborate with colleagues across the Library to co‑deliver inclusive and accessible teaching, provide supportive enquiry services, and contribute to operational planning and the ongoing improvement of our learning resources. Through this work, you will help ensure that all students and staff have equitable access to the resources, learning opportunities and support they need to succeed.

About the Teaching, Learning and Students Team

As part of the Education, Experience and Strategic Insights Directorate, the Teaching, Learning and Students Team is part of the Library’s student focused services and works alongside teams across the Library and wider University to deliver academic, information literacy and digital skills support, credit bearing teaching and other strategic student support activities.

Shortlist

Interview

We will operate a two-stage interview process.

  • Initially, shortlisted candidates will be invited to a short in-person or online interview so that the interview panel and candidate can ask further questions and add more detail to the application.
  • Those asked to move on after this stage will have demonstrated how their own experience will support them in the role and will be invited to an in person teaching demonstration
