About the Role
The U.S. Private Bank (USPB) Digital Team is seeking a dynamic and strategic Executive Director to lead the vision, development, and ongoing management of our digital planning platform. This individual will serve as the primary owner of the planning tool ecosystem, with a relentless focus on elevating the overall advisor experience. Reporting to senior Digital leadership, this role sits at the intersection of technology, wealth management strategy, and user experience â driving innovation that empowers our advisors to deliver best-in-class outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Planning Tool Ownership & Strategy
As the accountable leader for the USPB planning tool, you will define and execute the multi-year product roadmap, ensuring the platform evolves in lockstep with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and emerging market trends. You will oversee the full product lifecycle â from ideation and requirements gathering through development, launch, and continuous optimization â partnering closely with Technology, Design, Compliance, and Business stakeholders to deliver a world-class planning experience.
Advisor Experience Leadership
You will champion the end-to-end advisor experience across the planning tool and its adjacent digital touchpoints. This means deeply understanding advisor workflows, pain points, and aspirations through regular engagement, user research, and data analysis. You will translate those insights into intuitive, high-impact features and capabilities that reduce friction, increase productivity, and ultimately help advisors deepen client relationships and grow their books of business.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence
Operating in a matrixed environment, you will build strong partnerships across the Private Bank, Asset & Wealth Management, and firmwide technology organizations. You will align diverse stakeholders around a shared vision, negotiate priorities, and drive consensus on complex trade-offs. You will also represent the Digital Team in senior leadership forums, articulating strategy, progress, and resource needs with clarity and conviction.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
You will lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of product managers, analysts, and digital strategists. You will foster a culture of intellectual curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement â attracting and retaining top talent while developing the next generation of digital leaders within JPMorganChase.
Performance Management & Measurement
You will establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure platform adoption, advisor satisfaction, engagement, and business impact. You will leverage data-driven insights to inform prioritization decisions, demonstrate ROI to senior leadership, and continuously raise the bar on what the planning tool delivers.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of progressive experience in digital product management, wealth management technology, or financial services strategy, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity. You have a proven track record of owning and scaling enterprise-grade digital platforms, ideally within a private banking, wealth management, or advisory context. Deep familiarity with financial planning concepts â including goals-based planning, portfolio construction, tax and estate planning, and cash flow analysis â is essential. You possess exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Experience managing cross-functional teams and navigating complex, matrixed environments is required. A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.
