About the Role

The Product Details Page (PDP) sits at the heart of the customer shopping journey. It’s the moment where inspiration turns into intent — and where clear, compelling product information drives confidence and conversion. As the Product Manager for PDP, you will own one of the most commercially critical and customer‑visible parts of our digital experience.

This role goes far beyond optimising a single page. PDP is part of a broader mission area that spans homepage through to payment and returns, giving you end‑to‑end influence over how customers discover, evaluate, and purchase products. You’ll work across mini‑domains such as PDP, Basket, and Checkout, collaborating with other PMs who share the same mission and customer outcomes.

You will partner closely with F&F (clothing) as a key stakeholder, ensuring our PDP experience meets the needs of a category with rich content, varied attributes, and high customer expectations. Because of this, experience working with clothing, apparel, or similarly complex product sets is highly beneficial.

You’ll work with both front‑end and back‑end engineering teams, shaping the customer experience while also influencing the underlying systems, data structures, and APIs that power PDP content. Your work will directly impact how customers understand products, make decisions, and ultimately complete their purchase.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Owning the vision, strategy, and long‑term roadmap for PDP within the wider mission area.
  • Driving improvements to PDP content, structure, and functionality to increase engagement, trust, and conversion.
  • Collaborating with Engineering, UX, Research, Analytics, Business and API teams to deliver high‑quality, data‑driven product enhancements.
  • Using customer insights, experimentation, and market analysis to identify opportunities and validate hypotheses.
  • Ensuring PDP experiences meet the needs of clothing and other categories, balancing brand, commercial, and customer requirements.
  • Managing dependencies across PDP, Basket, Checkout, and other connected journeys to deliver cohesive end‑to‑end experiences.
  • Communicating product capabilities, outcomes, and performance across the wider Tesco Product organisation.
  • Supporting sprint planning, backlog prioritisation, and the breakdown of complex work into deliverable increments.
  • Proactively resolving live issues and ensuring the PDP experience remains stable, performant, and customer‑centric.

You Will Need

  • Experience working in online customer experience or digital commerce product areas.
  • A track record of owning and delivering product backlogs aligned to clear OKRs.
  • Experience running experiments, building hypotheses, and using A/B testing to drive product decisions.
  • Strong understanding of UX‑led product development and how to translate insights into meaningful improvements.
  • The ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.

Nice to Have

  • Product Management experience specifically within PDP or product‑rich domains such as clothing, apparel, or similar categories.
