In this role, you will be part of a highly collaborative, dynamic team that delivers projects in rapid, iterative cycles, contributing to data warehousing and data lake implementations as well providing support for production issues and change management processes.

To be successful as a Cloud Data Engineer, you should have experience with:

  • Architecting enterprise-grade, modern solutions in hybrid, multi-cloud environments (preferably AWS)

  • Developing enterprise-scale data pipelines on the cloud, including migrations from on-premises sources

  • Proficient with AWS services like Glue, S3, EMR, EC2, EKS, RDS, API Gateway etc

  • Knowledge in establishing data pipelines using Kafka, Eventbridge, SNS/SQS, Spark, API

  • Ensuring data governance frameworks and overseeing data flow mechanisms to ensure security, compliance, and lifecycle integrity

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Experience in the financial industry

  • AWS certification as Solution Architect

  • Ample knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps/DevSecOps practices using GitLab

  • Skilled in influencing partners and stakeholders through clear, impactful communication

  • Driving technical product selection processes and executing technical spikes/PoCs

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

This role is located in our Whippany, New Jersey office.

Minimum Salary: $75,000

Maximum Salary: $135,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

This position is eligible for an incentive award.

Purpose of the role

To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure. 

Accountabilities

  • Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.
  • Design and implementation of data warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.
  • Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes.
  • Collaboration with data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models.
