Job Summary

As a Data Management Associate within KYC Data Management, you translate business needs into governed, high-quality data deliverables. You partner with stakeholders and technology teams to build data models, lineage, and automated reporting solutions that enable decision-making. You help ensure KYC data is consistent, traceable, and aligned to enterprise standards.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into clear data deliverables.
  • Coordinate with SMEs to assess strategic platform capabilities and solution options.
  • Document data mappings, business rules, and metadata to enable traceability.
  • Develop and manage KYC data models aligned to target-state architecture and consumption needs.
  • Establish data quality frameworks, controls, and governance to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Partner with technology teams to design data ingestion patterns and integration approaches.
  • Deliver data lineage documentation and reporting strategies to support transparency and oversight.
  • Translate requirements into analytical solutions that enable decision-making and insights.
  • Extract reports and build data flows that generate actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Analyze data to test hypotheses, validate assumptions, and size opportunities.
  • Leverage reference data expertise to validate, enrich, and standardize data across upstream/downstream systems.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data, Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or related).
  • Demonstrate 10+ years of experience in data management, governance, or data product delivery.
  • Deliver hands-on experience producing data deliverables (e.g., mappings, lineage, models, DQ rules, reporting).
  • Understand reference data concepts and usage within business domains (including KYC-related data).
  • Develop automated data solutions for reporting and ongoing monitoring/controls.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose data issues and drive resolution.
  • Communicate effectively across organizational levels with clear, structured written and verbal updates.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Apply institutional knowledge from KYC operations to improve data usability and control outcomes.
  • Monitor project progress, manage dependencies, and provide timely status and risk updates.
  • Compile executive-ready summaries for data issues, root causes, and remediation plans.
  • Utilize data modeling and data integration tools effectively to support scalable solutions.
  • Demonstrate finance domain expertise across KYC/AML and related control expectations.
  • Leverage enterprise reference data platforms to standardize definitions and improve consistency.
  • Use data analytics skills (e.g., SQL, Alteryx, Python) to support regulatory reporting, audit readiness, dashboards, and operational efficiency.
