Responsibilities

  • Prepare clear records and regular management reports demonstrating engagement effectiveness, tracking themes, and supporting transparent communication with stakeholders, including community groups, local authorities, councillors, MPs, and the Community Engagement Board.
  • Work collaboratively across the Communities team and wider Heathrow teams to ensure coordinated support for impacted communities and contribute to continuous, joined‑up engagement across the programme.

Qualifications

  • Graduate or postgraduate qualification, or equivalent relevant experience, with strong knowledge of the community engagement landscape and its application to major infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working directly with communities impacted by major infrastructure, with a proven collaborative approach in large, matrixed organisations.
  • Ability to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement and communication activities, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a completer–finisher mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, influencing, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of the full mix of communication channels traditional, digital and social and experience designing innovative, interactive engagement tools and activities.
