Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Engage stakeholders to grasp business requirements, ensuring clear objectives for effective solution development and implementation. Design, develop, and implement complex cloud-based software applications and systems. Coordinate with other teams to integrate various components of the project, ensuring seamless functionality and compatibility across different systems and platforms. Actively engage in architectural design discussions, offering valuable insights and expertise to influence decision-making, ensuring the development of efficient software solutions. Enhance the operational stability of software applications and systems, by automating the resolution of recurring issues. Mentor junior engineers and technologists. Drive highly critical cross-functional technical projects with multiple stakeholders. Ensure that the software meets the required quality standards before it is released to users, by working with the different Quality Assurance (QA) teams, to develop and execute test plans. Organize workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing meetings to facilitate learning and collaboration. Maintain open and effective communication channels with team members from different departments, such as product management, design, and quality assurance, to align with project goals and requirements. Serve as the primary contact and identify and resolve issues during entire software development lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 (five) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer/Support Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Implementing data storage solutions using Boto3 to interact with Amazon Simple Storage Service; Building web applications using Node.js; Integrating search functionalities into websites or applications, by ingesting data into a k-NN index, with AWS OpenSearch; Designing and developing software applications that comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard; Deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications, using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service; Performing database schema changes, version control, track history using Liquibase; Creating and controlling cryptographic keys for data encryption and decryption using AWS Key Management Service; Implementing Change Data Capture for optimizing performance using Oracle GoldenGate; Defining and enforcing rules for data access, including row- level security and data masking using Immuta Policy Builder; Designing and developing software applications that comply with System and Organization Controls; Handling schema evolution, partitioning, and ACID Transactions using Apache Iceberg; Provisioning, managing, and deploying SSL/TLS certificates using AWS Certificate Manager; Designing and implementing Delta Sharing with existing Databricks workflows; Designing and implementing code-splitting and lazy loading techniques using Webpack; Implementing Single Sign-On with a service such as IdAnywhere to set up trust relationships in applications; Building users and services authentication using Kerberos; Building dynamic, type-safe queries using Hibernate API; Writing cleaner, modular, and maintainable code using Spring Aspect-oriented Programming; Building reliable, high-performance, and secure network connections for applications using AWS Direct Connect service; Modeling and automating the management of Infrastructure resources using AWS CloudFormation service; Defining consistent access control policies to build secure data lake with AWS Lake Formation's tag-based access control; Performing data discovery and schema management with AWS Glue Data Catalog; Creating, training, and deploying machine learning models using Amazon SageMaker; Building test scenarios and implementing regression testing using Cucumber; Designing, implementing, and managing data solutions using Snowflake platform; Describing and building cloud infrastructure using HashiCorp Configuration Language; Implementing a robust and scalable API Gateway to integrate client applications; Developing high-throughput streaming applications using AWS Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka; Building process, dependency management, and project configuration using Maven; Building continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using Jenkins; Writing reliable and maintainable tests using JUnit and Mockito; Automating provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure using Terraform; Building and performing fast, scalable, and flexible analytics, across diverse data sources leveraging Starburst Trino.
