Summary


The Technical Program Manager will lead delivery across multiple high‑impact in‑store digital product areas including Payments, Scan & Shop, Digital Café, Hospitality, Scales/Bizerba integrations, Observability and the ongoing Store Hardware Refresh programme.


You will develop clear delivery plans, handle risks, dependencies and budgets, and work closely with Product, Engineering, Commercial and Operations teams to land changes safely, predictably and with strong partner alignment.


This role requires focused programme leadership, strong vendor management, and the ability to operate across sophisticated store‑edge systems and customer‑facing propositions. You will be supported by a Senior TPM and will contribute actively to the wider Delivery function.

What you'll do

  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery across in‑store digital product groups including Hospitality, Scan & Shop Handhelds, Scales/Bizerba, In‑Store Payments and Hardware Refresh, ensuring technical, operational and rollout readiness.
  • Own clear, structured delivery planning with transparent roadmaps, achievements, dependencies and confidence reporting aligned across Product, Engineering, Architecture and Store Operations.
  • Drive robust risk, issue and dependency management through focused RAID practices, proactive mitigation, timely critical issue and end‑to‑end store impact readiness (ops, support, training).
  • Track budgets and investment horizons across engineering, vendors, devices and rollouts, supervising forecast vs spend and highlighting cost and delivery risks early.
  • Lead vendors and partner closely with Product & Engineering to hold third parties accountable, align squad capacity and sequencing, embed NFRs, and contribute to delivery standards and continuous improvement across the TPM function.
Who you are
  • Great track record delivering sophisticated technical programmes across retail, payments, store systems, or hardware/software ecosystems.
  • Experience working with engineering teams across multiple squads and subject areas.
  • Proven vendor management capability, including holding suppliers to contractual commitments.
  • Experience leading store rollouts, testing cycles, certification, and readiness.
  • Strong financial rigour: budgeting, spend tracking, forecasting.
