As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Asset and Wealth Management, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Ensure responsibility for high quality software development and delivery from the team based in Bengaluru office. You will lead by example, writing critical pieces of code yourself and leading design and code review sessions.
- Utilize your deep knowledge of design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming, your team will raise their game even more, meeting your standards, as well as satisfying both business and functional requirements.
- Leverage your experience in one or more technology domains will help solve complex and mission critical problems, internally and externally. As a constant learner and early adopter, you’re already embracing leading-edge technologies and methodologies; your example encourages others to follow suit.
- Participate actively in code review sessions - Conduct peer reviews and group reviews. You will provide code review sign-off for your peer’s and team member’s code.
- Demonstrate functional expertise in understanding asset management trades and positions lifecycle is critical for long-term success of this role and the team under this role. While it is not expected that you have deep expertise in investment accounting for each asset class, it is highly desirable. Expect progressively that over time, you would build expertise and coach team members on how trade lifecycle works from front office to custodians / fund administrators to fund accounting.
