Data Scientist, Senior Associate - Sales Science

Come join us in reshaping the future! The Chase Sales Analytics team supports the executives that lead the Consumer Bank to analyze and optimize the sales function at Chase branches.  The team provides expertise in data science & analytics to optimize sales performance for our bankers across the firm.  The team leverages industry-leading tools, processes and skills to convert data into meaningful insights that enable sales leadership to drive value and an excellent customer experience for their business programs. 

 As a Data Scientist, Senior Associate on the Chase Sales Analytics team, you support the executives that lead the Consumer bank to analyze and optimize the sales function at Chase branches. Your work is dedicated to branch ecosystem and staffing optimization.  Reporting into the Data Scientist Lead, your role will become the in-house expert in developing optimization strategies for banker coaching and the Blueprint product within the branch.   

Job Responsibilities: 

• Help develop and drive optimization roadmap for banker coaching functions in the branch using Machine Learning frameworks.
• Utilize advanced analytics to identify opportunities for improving the overall branch ecosystem across roles in several lines of business.
• Independently manage projects end-to-end, from ideation to implementation, keeping all relevant stakeholders informed.
• Use data analysis tools/platforms (SQL, R/Python, Teradata, AWS, Airflow & Hadoop) to analyze data from multiple sources.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses for lead performance, trend analysis, other analyses, as required.
• Implement prioritization models to allow for optimized in-branch servicing and sales while also effectively handling day to day foot traffic.
• Work with strategy partners to balance a strong experimentation environment with the need for quick, informed business decisions.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills: 

• Relevant experience of 3+ years and a Bachelors or Masters in related field, preferably Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience with optimization and machine learning models design and implementation – can be in a marketing, operational or digital setting.
• Expertise implementing next-gen models using machine learning in a Hadoop environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to work and collaborate with internal and external partners. 
• Problem-solving skills are essential. 
• Must be able to think outside the box to implement creative solutions that solve business problems without sacrificing experimentation integrity.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines. Must be detail oriented, organized, and perform at high standards
