Reporting to the Payroll Operations Manager – UK, our
Payroll Specialistwill support in processing end-to-end payroll of four UK payrolls comprising of over 14,000 colleagues working with a team of eight payroll colleagues. You’ll support in the delivery of accurate and timely payroll for all our UK colleagues, processing payrolls on SAP SuccessFactors, in line with internal SLAs and ensuring compliance with UK specific legislation and statutory requirements.

What you’ll be doing: - Supporting the Payroll Operations Manager - UK in the delivery of one weekly and three monthly payrolls, comprising of over 14,000 colleagues.
- Ensure payrolls are processed in an accurate, compliant, and timely manner.
- Liaise with the wider HR team, Finance and Operations teams to ensure queries are resolved swiftly and to ensure a smooth colleague experience.
- Support with SAP SuccessFactors upgrades and developments.
- Prepare statutory reports, monthly/year end reports for management review.
- Support with the management and administration of company benefit and salary sacrifice schemes.
- Prepare and analyse payroll account reconciliations.
- Review and improve payroll policies and procedures.
- Interpret current/new HMRC and Employment Law legislation impacting payroll.
- Deputise for the Payroll Operations Manager - UK when required.
What you’ll have: - CIPP or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Extensive experience of working with SAP or SuccessFactors Payroll Module on full end-to-end payroll process.
- Have a methodical approach, with the ability to challenge current practices and deliver practical business-focused solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confident in dealing with colleagues at all levels, taking the initiative to resolve issues in a timely manner and escalating when necessary.
- Strong UK payroll knowledge, including UK payroll legislation, manual calculations, and pension auto-enrolment.
- Confident in analysing payroll data with advanced Excel skills.
- The ability to work with interruptions in a highly energetic, ever-changing environment, being proactive in both thinking and in action, with a confident and responsive manner.
- Have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational and time-management skills, and the ability to deliver whilst remaining calm under pressure in a high volume, process driven role.
