As a Data Scientist Lead within the Consumer Community Banking  ACE team, you will lead the design, testing, and measurement of strategies across marketing, sales, distribution, pricing, and customer analytics. You will apply advanced analytics, experimental design, and machine learning to solve complex business challenges, ensuring your work directly influences both customer experience and business outcomes. In this role, you’ll partner with cross-functional teams, mentor colleagues, and drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Your leadership will help deliver value and protection for our customers, while supporting your own professional growth and mobility.

Job responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of complex analyses and experiments to drive business change in product performance, client engagement, attrition, and customer segmentation
• Develop and implement robust Monitoring and measurement frameworks (e.g., A/B testing, experimental design) to evaluate business strategies and initiatives
• Partner with product, finance, technology, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact, data-driven projects and solutions
• Translate ambiguous business challenges into structured, data-driven problems and actionable insights
• Present clear, compelling findings and recommendations to senior executives and stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions
• Manage and analyze large-scale data using advanced SQL, Python, R, or similar tools in big data environments (e.g., Snowflake, Hive, Spark)
• Enhance data collection, processing, and validation procedures to ensure data integrity and reliability
• Apply advanced statistical analysis, machine learning, and optimization techniques to solve business problems
• Mentor and guide team members on data science best practices, experimental design, and analytics methodologies
• Continuously develop and share expertise in data visualization, storytelling, and communication to drive business impact
• Ensure all analyses and recommendations align with business goals, compliance standards, and industry best practices

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience or a Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, or Finance
• 6 + years of experience managing and analyzing large-scale data using SQL
• 6 + years of experience with Python or similar languages for data analysis and modeling
• 6  + years of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
• Demonstrated expertise in experimental design, A/B testing, and statistical analysis
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects and delivering actionable insights that drive business outcomes
• Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Experience enhancing data collection, processing, and validation procedures
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
