Diversity drives innovation and we offer an international and friendly work environment with an energetic company culture.
Role:
As Dexory's Senior UX Research Lead, you will champion human-centred design by deeply understanding our users' needs, behaviours, and contexts. You'll lead the design research practice, uncovering the 'why' behind user actions and ensuring our products deliver intuitive, valuable experiences in complex warehouse environments. Working hand-in-hand with Product Designers and the Product Insights Lead, you'll bring user voices into every design decision, from early concept exploration to post-launch iteration. Your expertise will shape design strategy, validate solutions, and build a culture where empathy and evidence drive exceptional user experiences.
Responsibilities:
Strategic research leadership: Define and execute the UX research strategy for the product design team; identify knowledge gaps, prioritise research efforts aligned to product roadmap, and advocate for user-centred design principles across the organisation.
Deep qualitative discovery: Lead generative research to uncover latent user needs, mental models, pain points, and opportunity spaces through ethnographic studies, contextual inquiry, shadowing, and in-depth interviews in warehouse and operational settings.
Design validation & iteration: Plan and conduct evaluative research (usability testing, prototype testing, concept validation) throughout the design process; provide actionable insights that refine wireframes, prototypes, and final designs.
Cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with Product Designers to inform design decisions from discovery through delivery; work with the Product Insights Lead to align qualitative findings with quantitative signals and create a holistic understanding of user needs.
Specialist methodology application: Deploy advanced UX research methods (card sorting, tree testing, journey mapping, diary studies, co-design workshops) tailored to complex B2B and operational users.
Accessibility & inclusive design: Champion inclusive research practices; ensure diverse user representation and identify accessibility requirements that shape equitable product experiences.
Insight synthesis & communication: Translate research findings into compelling narratives, design principles, and actionable recommendations; create rich deliverables (personas, empathy maps, journey maps, mental models) that inspire and guide design decisions.
Research operations & repository: Build and maintain a centralised research library; establish best practices, templates, and processes that enable the team to access and leverage insights efficiently.
Stakeholder engagement: Present research findings to leadership and cross-functional teams with clarity and impact; build empathy across the organisation by bringing user stories and evidence to life.
Capability building: Mentor Product Designers in research skills; facilitate team workshops; foster a research-informed design culture where everyone contributes to understanding users.
Required Qualifications:
6–8 years' experience in UX research, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity, ideally within B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or complex operational/industrial domains.
Expert-level proficiency in qualitative research methods (ethnography, contextual inquiry, in-depth interviews, usability testing, co-design) and mixed-methods approaches.
Strong experience designing and conducting research in challenging environments (e.g., warehouses, field operations, industrial settings) and with diverse user groups (frontline operators to decision-makers).
Proven ability to synthesise complex findings into clear design implications and influence product strategy through compelling storytelling and evidence.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with Product Designers, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams in agile environments.
Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Miro) and research platforms (Dovetail, UserTesting, Optimal Workshop).
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; able to adapt communication style from technical teams to executive audiences.
Bonus: Experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management systems; familiarity with quantitative methods and basic analytics.
