Description
We’re looking for a motivated P&C Actuarial Analyst to join our growing actuarial team and help drive data‑informed decisions across rating, pricing, and portfolio management. In this role, you’ll work on real business problems, contribute directly to rate filings and indications, and collaborate with experienced actuaries who are invested in your professional growth.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to rate reviews, indications, and pricing updates for Property and Casualty lines including Property, General Liability, and Commercial products
- Analyze loss ratios, trends, and relativities to support pricing and underwriting decisions
- Assist with portfolio and book-of-business evaluations, including identifying underperforming segments
- Develop and enhance analytical tools, reports, and automation using SQL, Excel, VBA, and other analytical platforms
- Validate and reconcile data across multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with underwriting, product, and leadership partners to communicate findings and recommendations
- Support regulatory filings and documentation as needed
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 2+ years of actuarial experience (internship experience considered for early‑career candidates)
- At least 2 SOA/CAS actuarial exams passed with active exam progression
- Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL and VBA strongly preferred
- Solid analytical thinking with the ability to turn data into clear insights
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting rate indications or pricing models
- Exposure to P&C insurance products (Property, GL, Commercial, Farm, or Specialty lines)
- Experience with Python, R, SAS, or Access
- Familiarity with regulatory or rate filing processes
