Position Description:

The ideal candidate for this position is a problem solver and a doer, someone who likes to dig into the details and work quickly to produce top-quality results. As a Senior Business Process Analyst, you will use your knowledge, skills, and abilities to solve organizational information challenges and will use your critical thinking skills to identify client requirements and translate those into detailed instructions for your development team to execute. The ideal Senior Business Process Analyst also has strong writing and communication skills, ability to learn technical concepts, and is able to build relationships with both their team members and clients. You will become an expert in a complex software application and will be the primary point of contact for training and supporting users.

This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office with work performed at client site in Triangle Park, NC; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

-Gather, develop, document and validate business, functional and technical requirements.
-Document As-Is/To-Be process maps, Transition Diagrams, and conceptual and logical data models.
-Lead client JAD sessions to determine requirements and understand business processes.
-Interact with advanced business analysts and solution developers to communicate and validate requirements.
-Perform functional and integrated testing. Coordinates and leads user acceptance testing efforts, including authoring of test scripts and creation of test data.
-Prepare and maintain project documentation and artifacts including analysis, reports, user guides, and other user documentation.
-Works with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements.
-Author and prepare meeting minutes to be distributed to a variety of audiences
-Author user stories, test scripts, and other Agile deliverables
CGI is unable to sponsor international hires for this position. Permanent residency is required.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

-Bachelor's degree, Computer Information Systems preferred
- 7 years work experience as a business analyst
- Experience with software requirements, testing, and user documentation.
-Knowledge of SDLC
-Functional analysis and strong writing skills.
-Excellent communication skills
-Ability to work effectively within a team environment under tight timelines
-Ability to multi-task and support multiple work streams at once
- Experience working with JIRA and Confluence

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Knowledge of NPDES permitting and business processed strongly preferred

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $78,400.00 - $154,300.00.
