A Senior Backend Engineer designs, builds, and maintains scalable server-side systems, APIs, and databases, focusing on robust architecture, performance, security, and data management, while also mentoring junior developers and driving technical strategy through clean code, cloud expertise (AWS/GCP/Azure), and DevOps practices (Docker/Kubernetes). Key responsibilities include API development (REST/gRPC), data pipelines, microservices, authentication, observability (Prometheus/Grafana), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to support complex web and mobile applications. 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • System Design & Architecture: Architecting scalable, high-performance microservices and database solutions.
  • Development: Writing clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable server-side code.
  • API Development: Building and maintaining robust APIs (REST/gRPC) for internal and external communication.
  • Database Management: Designing schemas, optimizing queries, and managing data storage.
  • DevOps & Deployment: Implementing containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD.
  • Performance & Security: Ensuring application security, scalability, and optimizing server performance.
  • Mentorship: Guiding and mentoring junior engineers, leading code reviews.
  • Collaboration: Working with frontend, product, and design teams for seamless integration.
