We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of  Senior Architect 

In this role, you will be:

• Accountable for ensuring the products & services are supported by the right architectures and solutions meet the customer needs.
• Accountable for ensuring the design of the product solutions are cost effective and maintained through the agile development lifecycle, managing the flow of the backlog of design activities.
• Responsible for ensuring solutions are aligned with the future state architecture, roadmap, group standards, policies and the bank wide business capabilities.
• Following the architecture governance process to ensure that all architecture controls are applied to the solution design.
• Responsible for creating architecture impact assessment and Solution Design Documents. 
• Responsible for creating new architecture patterns and perform POC to prove those patterns

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Hold an architect-level certification (a live certificate isn’t required).
• Have experience designing microservices architectures, including service mesh concepts and microservices design patterns.
• Be experienced in designing scalable, resilient solutions.
• Be familiar with event-based architecture (Kafka, Google Cloud Pub/Sub), Enterprise Integration Patterns, and API-led connectivity patterns.
• Be able to design cloud services for microservices on Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services, including load balancing and autoscaling (IP networking knowledge is preferable).
• Understand enterprise/distributed application architecture and be able to align designs to HSBC’s enterprise architecture, standards, policies, and roadmap.
• Have knowledge of artificial intelligence and AIOps implementations, including managed AI and GPU-enabled virtual machine architectures, and familiarity with generative AI models (Gemini, GPT, Claude) and platforms (Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock or similar).
• Have strong data architecture knowledge, including database schema design (MySQL/Postgres; MongoDB/Cassandra/Bigtable), caching (Redis/Hazelcast/cloud-native), and cloud-native data services; plus exposure to big data pipelines/processing and data warehousing (e.g., Pub/Sub, Dataflow, BigQuery, Teradata).
