A respected, mid-sized civil defense firm in NYC is expanding its litigation team and seeking attorneys experienced in defending clients against tort claims. From straightforward auto accident matters to complex catastrophic injury cases, your role will be central in protecting clients’ interests and driving strong outcomes.

This is not a “sit in the background and draft motions” role. You’ll be in the driver’s seat.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Defending clients in a broad range of tort matters, including auto accidents, premises liability, construction accidents, catastrophic injury, and medical malpractice claims
• Managing a full caseload independently
• Conducting and defending depositions (fact witnesses, corporate reps, experts)
• Drafting and arguing dispositive motions
• Appearing in court for conferences, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations
• Preparing cases for trial and working closely with partners on litigation strategy

What We’re Looking For:

• Admission to the New York Bar
• 2–10+ years of civil litigation experience (medical malpractice defense preferred)
• Strong case management skills and comfort handling files independently
• Experience with motion practice, depositions, and hearings
• Trial preparation experience strongly preferred
• A proactive, strategic mindset and desire to grow
