If you’re looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC, and fulfil your potential - whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or an exciting new direction, we offer opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.

We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Proposition Manager.

You’ll carry out a strategic leadership role focused on digitally transforming and optimising our financial planning and advice proposition to meet the evolving needs of financial advisers and their clients. You’ll drive the development of innovative digital journeys that empower advisers and customers to plan, invest, and manage wealth effectively, with a strong emphasis on leveraging AI to enhance experiences and drive efficiencies. Working closely with business architecture, you’ll maintain a relentless focus on both client and adviser experience, while balancing commercial priorities, proposition development, and compliance.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role you’ll:

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and align the strategic roadmap for financial planning platforms, ensuring it meets business objectives, customer needs, and regulatory standards
  • Lead the creation and execution of the AI strategy for Financial Advice, enhancing the advised proposition and digital coaching, and working closely with business architecture and IT to deliver improvements
  • Advocate for exceptional user experiences across all planning tools and platforms, ensuring our strategy delivers tangible benefits for both advisers and clients
  • Partner with key stakeholders to drive platform performance, operational resilience, and satisfaction, acting as the main interface between advice, distribution, compliance, risk, technology, and leadership
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and AI developments, driving continuous improvement and a culture of innovation, customer centricity, and agile delivery, while deputising for senior leaders as required

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in financial planning within retail wealth, investment, or private banking environments, with a strong grasp of financial advice processes and technology
  • Deep understanding of digital customer journeys across apps and platforms, with hands-on experience leveraging AI to enhance user experiences
  • Proven track record of working with business architecture to drive meaningful change, underpinned by strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage key performance metrics
  • In-depth knowledge of FCA regulations relating to advice, platforms, and customer outcomes, as well as a clear understanding of organisational strategy and goals
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate effectively across product, compliance, technology, and commercial teams
