Job Title: RPA Configurator

The RPA Configurator is responsible for analysis, design, development, and testing of processes, working in demand-led CCS processes. The role holder works with the RPA mentor, project manager and Innovation Lead to ensure the Policies and Standards, and local jurisdiction standards and best practices are followed while during design and development of RPA automation. 

In this role, you will:

  • Analyzing and understanding the business processes in detail where required.
  • Identifying and communicating the technical software requirements.
  • Designing automated process solutions in accordance with standard design principles and conventions.
  • Configuring new automated processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable, and easy to understand.
  • Creating and maintaining solution documentation.
  • Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
  • Problem solving issues that arise in day to day running of automated processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required.
  • Communicating with software supplier through the team structure on software related issues, suggested improvements and participating with other users in the automation community.
  • Working within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process.
  • Creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the pre-UAT phases
  • Supporting the Operational Teams during the UAT and rollout phases.

To be successful you will:

Knowledge

  • Understanding of RPA technologies, the operational processes and when RPA should be used (desirable)
  • Knowledge of the enterprise’s business operations 

Experience

  • Previous experience within Blue prism & Power Automate/ Power Platform(18 months as a minimum and 2 project end to end development completed)
  • Proven track record in a similar role would be advantageous

Capabilities

  • The role requires an articulate individual; comfortable dealing with management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required
  • Must be well organized and able to multi-task effectively and efficiently
  • Experience in negotiation and conflict management
  • Ability to problem solve, clearly articulate requirements, and implement and drive change
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and drive

Qualifications and Accreditations

  • Blue prism accredited at a minimum (Professionally accredited is desired)
  • Power Automate Certified - PL900/PL500 for MS platform accredited at a minimum
  • Exposure to AI Tools
  • Graduate in any discipline minimum.
  • Alteryx, Xceptor and other automation tools certification is preferable
  • Higher qualification not a bar provided aspirations are commensurate with the position

What additional skills will be good to have?        

  • Good written skills with the ability to clearly document and explain business processes and automated solution designs.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience.
  • A working knowledge of current business processes and the ability to understand new business processes.
  • An ability to envisage how an automated solution will work in the wider business environment, to understand its advantages and what its effect will be.
  • The ability to conceptualize automated solutions and understand the prescribed design architecture.
  • An understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram, and to illustrate a written process description as a workflow diagram.
  • An aptitude for logic and mathematics.
  • Solid end user computing skills, for example intermediate spreadsheet user or similar.
  • Net developer skills and experience would be advantageous
  • The ability to work with a structured and methodical approach, combined with an enquiring mind.
  • An understanding of formal change control procedures and disciplines.
  • An aptitude for problem solving, with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error.
