Working at Manchester Airport will provide an exciting opportunity for any high performing Project Managerto work in a busy, diverse and challenging environment. Working in the Capital Delivery Team, our corefunction and focus is to deliver the Capital Plan safely, on time and within budget. Alongside our Senior PMsyou will work diligently with multiple stakeholders to provide new or replaced assets to support theoperational needs of the business.
As part of the team, you will be working on our many construction projects across Manchester Airport, thiswill cover terminals, airfields and other existing infrastructure. You will plan, prioritise and managemultiple projects, ensuring delivery as promised. Management of our contractors is also a key part of therole. You will also have some accountability for the annual CAPEX spend, as well as individual budgets of £1to 5 million.
As an experienced Project Manager, you will have proven experience of working in a fast paced and dynamicproject delivery team. This includes taking projects from the explore stage right through to handover and closeout.
A sound knowledge of large and small greenfield and brownfield project delivery in mature assetsis also essential for this role as you will be required to work across both. You will be able to cultivate andmaintain strong relationships with essential stakeholders, establishing performance indicators for successand deliverables, which includes overseeing and managing budgets effectively.
Experience managing designers and contractors as well as 3rd party approvals is also essential for this role,as well as proven commercial acumen and the ability to contribute to building and presenting a credibleCAPEX business case. Experience within a construction environment is also highly desirable.
