Joining Engineering means stepping into a role at the heart of Heathrow’s operation. We’re looking for a skilled and safety-focused Technician to help deliver high-quality maintenance and engineering services across our non-terminal facilities.

You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our Terminal 5 assets are reliable, efficient and compliant, keeping operations flowing smoothly.

Salary: £46,345 plus shift allowance. Shift pattern is nights: Monday – Thursday 8pm to 6am.

Responsibilities

• Corrective and Planned maintenance of various Terminal 5 assets such as Airbridges, PCAs, Automated Tray Return, HVAC, Water, Power and Lighting Systems.
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on assets.
• Investigating faulty or poor-performing assets, identifying improvements and implementing meaningful change to improve the airport experience.
• Keeping records up to date, for example, the maintenance history of our assets, to create efficiency and meet Heathrow’s regulatory requirements.
• Showcasing your passion for ‘doing the right thing’, by proactively spotting hazards, reducing risks, and creating a safer environment for all.
• Champion continuous improvement and best practice.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in electrical discipline or equivalent
• Electrical Inspection & Testing 2391 qualified
• Full UK driving licence including the ability to obtain and maintain airside licences and permits.
• Strong hands-on experience, gained within an engineering environment.
• Analytical thinking and sound problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise in a complex and fast-paced setting.
• Works well in a team with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Ideally, you will also have:

• Low Voltage Authorised Person (LV AP)
