About the role
As an Oracle EPM Functional Architect, you will make an impact by leading the end-to-end functional design, architecture, and delivery of Oracle EPM solutions that enable finance transformation and data-driven decision-making. You will be a valued member of the Enterprise Platform Services (EPS) team and work collaboratively with finance leaders (CFOs, FP&A), technical architects, data engineers, project managers, and client stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
Lead the functional architecture and solution design for Oracle EPM implementations across Planning/EPBCS, FCCS, ARCS, and Narrative Reporting.
Drive functional configuration including metadata, hierarchies, business rules, forms, dashboards, and integrations following Oracle best practices.
Partner with finance executives and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable EPM solutions supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial close.
Oversee integration design and data management between Oracle EPM and ERP platforms such as Oracle EBS or Oracle Fusion.
Provide functional leadership across project delivery including UAT, governance, change management, training, and continuous improvement.
What you need to have to be considered
15+ years of hands-on experience delivering Oracle EPM solutions for large enterprise clients.
Minimum of 5 full lifecycle Oracle EPM implementations in a lead functional or architect role.
Deep functional expertise in Oracle EPBCS / Planning, FCCS, ARCS, and Narrative Reporting.
Strong experience partnering with Finance, FP&A, and executive stakeholders to drive transformation initiatives.
These will help you stand out
MBA or CPA qualification preferred.
Oracle Cloud EPM certifications across Planning, FCCS, or ARCS.
Experience working in consulting or professional services environments.
Exposure to AI-driven finance transformation and modern analytics ways of working.
Experience supporting pre-sales activities including solution demos, estimations, and proposals.
Willingness to travel to client sites for key project milestones.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $116,100 – 180,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
