We are looking for a Sr Web Developer to complete project assignments and participate in the full development life cycle, including requirements analysis and design. This position will be a full-time contract and hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
What You’ll Do
Complete project assignments and participate in the full development life cycle, including requirements analysis and design
Collaborate with technical and functional staff on detailed business requirements, understanding business processes, and ensuring alignment with agency standards, federal and state policies
Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements
Utilize object-oriented techniques and best practices for design, development, unit testing, and deployment
Develop code along with unit testing strategies and plans
Use Microsoft .NET Framework, an MVC framework, and C# programming language to develop applications
Work with the Project Manager to maintain project plans and ensure project milestones are met
Prototype, refine, test, and debug programs in collaboration with the PM, technical staff, and end users
Independently work with less guidance and collaborate with IDOH external partners as necessary
Consider agency web application architecture and business decisions during design
Provide EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) support if needed, including requirements analysis, documenting, and communicating results to the EDI team and program team
Ensure accurate and appropriate file exchanges with external trading partners and resolve EDI data transmission conflicts
Provide helpdesk-level support for EDI claim transactions
What You'll Need
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields with IT experience
10+ years of working experience with ASP.NET
5+ years of working experience with C#
5+ years of working experience with MVC
5+ years of work experience in analyzing and addressing security-related issues for applications built in multiple languages
5+ years of working experience with Oracle SQL
Current working experience with Web Services
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to solve complex programming issues
Preferred:
Understanding of EDI file formats
Experience in the health industry
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time, with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$59.06 per hourThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education.
