Role description:

As a Systems Integration Engineer, you will deliver hands on system integration within a multidisciplinary team and provide direct support to the Design Authority. You will apply Systems Engineering principles across the full lifecycle, from requirements definition through integration, customer acceptance, support, and disposal. Using broad engineering expertise, you will design and develop system and sub‑system solutions, resolve technical issues, and ensure effective engineering governance

Core Duties:

  • Conduct system integration and acceptance activities for electronics & software-based systems
  • Produce and manage design specifications, test plans, design proving plans, and reports
  • Undertake Simulation Systems equipment design, network design and software design
  • Work with other system design teams to achieve system integration goals
  • Undertake system integration, test planning and execution
  • Work independently under limited technical direction across a range of products and services, resolving common engineering problems
  • Provide technical guidance to immediate team

Essential Skills:

  • You’ll hold higher education (or equivalent experience) in a relevant Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline
  • You’ll have experience in system integration and working with large‑scale complex system designs
  • You’ll have a strong background in requirements management, including compliance and acceptance activities
  • You’ll be able to think analytically and holistically to assess system‑wide technical problems

The Underwater Battlespace Torpedo Simulation team:

The team is a small group of multi-disciplinary systems, electronics and software engineers who develop & maintain hardware-in-the-loop simulator systems for our torpedo product portfolio, working closely with torpedo software, hardware and trials teams to deliver our products to customers.
