To be a successful AWS Developer, you should have experience with:
Practical experience working within a support function & ITIL Environment. Strong experience of L2/L3 Application Support Experience is a Must. Good understanding of business and operational processes, Capable of Problem / issue resolution, capable of thinking out of the box.
Candidate should be able to work independently, and drive projects related to Service Improvement, monitoring, Automation, audit remediations etc. Experience with UNIX environment with exposure to one or more well-known UNIX flavours such as HP-UX, Sun Solaris and/or Linux. Experience working with databases such as Oracle, Teradata, Mongo DB, including fine tuning SQL queries, advanced investigation skills for performance issues and database profiling.
Should be strong in analytical thinking, able to identify root causes, communicate with technical and non-technical users. Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools in cloud environment like CloudWatch. Proficiency in S3 lifecycle policies, CloudWatch custom metrics, IAM policies, ECS/EKS orchestration.
Hands on experience in python and PySpark and strong knowledge on Dataframes, RDD and SparkSQL. Hands on Experience in supporting and maintaining applications on AWS Cloud. Strong hold on AWS Data Analytics Technology Stack (Glue, S3, Lambda, Lake formation, Athena). Design and implement scalable and efficient data transformation/storage solutions using Snowflake.
Experience in Data ingestion to Snowflake for different storage format such Parquet, Iceberg, JSON, CSV etc. Experience in using DBT (Data Build Tool) with snowflake for ELT pipeline support. Experience in Writing advanced SQL.
Experience in AWS data pipeline support. Hands on experience for supporting reusable components using Snowflake and AWS Tools/Technology. Exposure to data governance or lineage tools such as Immuta and Alation is added advantage. Experience in using Orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Snowflake Tasks is added advantage.
Additional relevant skills given below are highly valued:
Ability to engage with Stakeholders, elicit requirements/ user stories and translate requirements into ETL components. Ability to understand the infrastructure setup and be able to provide solutions either individually or working with teams. Good knowledge of Data Marts and Data Warehousing concepts.
Resource should possess good analytical and Interpersonal skills. Support Cloud based Enterprise data warehouse with multiple data platform along with Snowflake and NoSQL environment to support data movement strategy.
