Overview

Responsible for conducting quality control tests and analysing results to ensure that released operational systems and infrastructure meet or exceed agreed standards and requirements.

Accountabilities

• Responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Responsible for the defect tracking process and ensure timely resolution of issues
• Design and implement test automation and quality assurance strategies and frameworks
• Collaborate closely with development and product teams to ensure test coverage
• Provide detailed analysis and reporting of test results to stakeholders
• Point of escalation for troubleshooting from junior test engineers
• Participate in the continuous improvement of testing processes and best practices
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements in testing activities

Skills

• Software testing - understanding of software testing principles, methodologies and tools.
• Test Automation - Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.
• Programming languages - Proficiency in programming languages
• Analytical and technical problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
• Communication skills - collaborate with cross-functional teams, present technical info and provide training or support
• Adaptability - Flexibility to adapt to changing technologies and work
• Project management - ability to manage one or multiple projects or project tasks and meet deadlines

Knowledge & Experience

• Established experience in software testing or a related field
• Proven experience in test automation and managing test projects.

Qualifications

• A degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is advantageous
