We are hiring a Business Continuity Manager to be responsible for defining, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving CMC Markets’ Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework.
The role ensures that CMC is resilient and prepared to respond effectively to business disruptions, minimising impact to clients, operations, and regulatory obligations. The role works closely with technology and business stakeholders globally to embed effective business continuity practices and to support broader operational resilience objectives.
- Own, implement, and maintain the Business Continuity Policy, Framework, and associated standards, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practice
- Maintain a roadmap for the continuous improvement and maturity of Business Continuity capabilities across the organisation.
- Monitor regulatory developments related to Business Continuity and implement changes where appropriate.
- Lead the annual review of Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) across the business to identify business areas, processes, their dependent systems and recovery objectives
- Coordinate and oversee the annual review and maintenance of Business Recovery Plans (BRPs).
- Provide oversight and challenge to ensure BIAs and BRPs are accurate, proportionate, and fit for purpose.
- Define and deliver a structured programme of BCM and IT resilience testing.
- Ensure BIAs and BRPs are regularly tested
- Analyse exercise outcomes, produce clear and concise reports, and track remediation actions through to completion.
- Provide management information (MI) and key risk indicators (KRIs) to support governance and senior management reporting.
- Maintain and manage the emergency notification and communication systems.
- Support the organisation during major incidents and business disruptions.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and maturity of incident and crisis management processes.
- Collaborate with APAC and other regions to align BCM approaches and standards where practical.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Business Continuity, providing guidance and challenge to stakeholders at all levels.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrable experience managing Business Continuity in a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of BCM standards
- Experience conducting BIAs and BRPs and leading exercises associated with these
- Ability to lead test scenarios for BCM purposes
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team setting
- Knowledge and experience in Operational Resilience and the regulatory requirements
- Experience with crisis/disaster recovery management
- Experience within financial services
