The appointee will be an academic who will deliver Physics and Chemistry tutorials and ultimately lectures alongside current staff and provide expert academic advising for a growing cohort of students including widening participation (WP) students. The appointee will support students’ transition into undergraduate studies, offer guidance following exam results, and help students select appropriate courses for progression. Responsibilities also include developing diagnostic exercises in science subjects, undertaking traditional lecturing, and taking a lead role in workload sustainability. The role will also involve other aspects such as coordinating the ongoing transformation of Foundation Studies, contributing to curriculum review and new course development (including AI materials), and actively supporting diversity, inclusion, and international recruitment initiatives.
