About The Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Engineer to take care of our IT needs and provide awesome support to our employees. The role suits someone who handles fast shifts in priorities and works well with teams in different time zones. You will report to the IT and Security Director.
What You'll Be Doing
You will join a global follow the sun IT team that supports staff across multiple regions. You will work closely with the regional Senior IT Engineer and coordinate with other regional leads to keep daily operations smooth.
- Provide technical assistance, advice, and training to users, resolve issues at the tier one level, and escalate issues to the appropriate escalation team.
- Install, configure, and provision computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Oversee deployment and maintenance of IT systems, ensuring optimal and reliable operations.
- Manage and maintain company IT assets and systemic inventory.
- Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, VPN gateways, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
- Procure and manage devices, including laptops and other IT assets.
- Handle IT asset allocations at the time of joining and exits, both virtually and in-person.
- Maintain, repair, and upgrade systems and processes, including hardware and software programs.
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of relevant experience in IT systems, network administration, and related technologies.
- Solid knowledge of network technology and security principles.
- Confident communication with users to understand issues and present clear solutions.
- Strong MDM and system provisioning skills for Mac, Windows and Linux.
- Experience in corporate or platform security and vulnerability management.
- Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration, system vulnerabilities, and security.
- Ability to think critically, analyse root causes, diagnose problems, and provide solutions.
- Must have: strong written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently and take end-to-end accountability for employee IT issues.
- Should be flexible with work from office.
Nice To Have Experience
You do not need all of these, but they help.
- Atlassian Jira or ITSM tools.
- Microsoft Intune.
- Ubiquiti and/or Mikrotik.
- Slack multi-workspace management
- Google Workspace or Google Cloud Platform.
- Mac, Windows and Linux administration at scale.
- Experience in global support teams.
