As a Lead Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking organizationâs Acquisition Enablement Platform, you will join an agile team that designs, builds, and delivers secure, stable, and scalable software for the firmâs stateâofâtheâart products. In this role, you will implement software solutions across multiple components of applications and systems while continuing to grow your capabilities.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Strong experience in Java, platform engineering, AWS, systems design, solution design, low level design, database, messaging, live application/data migrations, design patterns, high scale, production support from product and platform organizations.
- AI agents, Automated generation of UI, design, code, database, test cases, and assembling solutions in real time shortening the SDLC to significantly lesser timelines and lesser man power, using prompt engineering with LLM tools such as Gemini , Claude, CoPilot and assembling solution to result in production grade services/APIs using coding and performance best practices.
- Platform engineering experience with production support of microservices focused on key performance metrics, Self-Service feature creation, Observability, and SRE experience. Secure Development life cycle, complete service ownership in DevOps model. CI/CD tooling, Static and Dynamic Code review tools usage such as SonarQube, CheckMarx. Java 17+ Spring, Spring boot, Spring Cloud microservices.
- QA/Test automation writing automated unit tests, functional tests, and endâtoâend test automation various testing tools and frameworks such as cucumber, selenium, java and RPA tools. Metrics based product feature delivery for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Bias for action, Learn and curiosity, Deep Dive, Ownership, Deliver Results, Positive mindset and attitude, team working, consensus building, excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Leading team size of 8 to 15, estimating effort, timelines, excellent culture with diversity, opportunity, inclusion and respect.
