Infrastructure Engineer III

As a Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Infrastructure Platforms - DSS Infrastructure Data and Payments line of business, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise.

• Apply technical expertise and structured problem-solving to projects of moderate scope
• Drive a workstream or project across one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
• Partner with other platforms to architect and implement changes to resolve issues and modernize processes
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot solutions for problems of moderate complexity
• Assess upstream/downstream system and data impacts and advise on mitigation actions

• Support a 24/7 operational model and handle P1 and P2 incidents using innovative troubleshooting approaches

• Be accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience
• Deep knowledge in one or more infrastructure engineering domains (hardware, networking, databases, storage, deployment, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, performance)
• Demonstrated troubleshooting experience across infrastructure platforms with hands-on database and Linux administration skills
• Strong knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, Splunk, Grafana, Datadog, Cassandra, Oracle, CockroachDB, and networking
• Deep expertise in one specific infrastructure technology plus scripting skills (e.g., Python)
• Motivation to continuously build technical and cross-functional knowledge beyond the product
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
• Experience identifying and resolving public cloud issues and driving service improvement plans
