Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions from inception to production. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Develop Travel platform application using Objective-C, Swift UIKit and SwiftUI. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in code reviews to ensure solutions align to pre-defined architectural specifications. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Ability to understand the requirements and size the effort with concise estimation. Effective communication with all the stakeholders including business partners, other technical partners, UI/UX partners, etc. Work with production support team in order to triage the issues and come up with RCA's involved for resolving the same.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IM/IT Programmer Analyst, Software Developer or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: utilizing Xcode Previews to enhance development workflows, ensuring high-quality user interfaces and comprehensive accessibility coverage; working with telemetry, analytics, and data processing using New Relic, Grafana, and Kusto; utilizing New Relic dashboards for application performance monitoring; Working with Grafana and SQL for data extraction; Utilizing Kusto with KQL for processing and analyzing large volumes of logs; Using the apple multimedia libraries with AVFoundation to show videos and images to the customer; Working with iOS Combine framework; Writing functional and UI XCTests for continuous regression testing on applications using Jenkins This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: engineering and maintaining iOS application using Swift, UIKit and SwiftUI on Xcode, while leveraging Objective-C and Xcode-tools within an Agile team environment; developing native Android application using Java and XML on Android Studio while leveraging Kotlin; Maintaining advanced Swift and Java features, including geospatial functionality with MapKit, in-app messaging, WidgetKit, localization with JSON, micro- services, system storage management, and accessibility; Researching and exploring the Core ML framework using online resources to evaluate the potential impact of AI/ML on app functionality and performance; spearheading testing efforts using XCTest and JUnit frameworks for functional and unit testing; Working with testing tools for automation scripting, including Selenium, Appium, and Cucumber; Working with mobile application submissions, including overseeing the release, upload, and updates to TestFlight, the App Store, and Google Play Store; adopting native versus hybrid app solutions, with frameworks such as ReactNative, Cordova, and PhoneGap while utilizing HTML for structure, CSS for styling, and JavaScript for interactivity; leveraging cloud-based platforms, including Urban Airship and Google Firebase for live notifications, service configurations, and implementing AES and SHA256 algorithms for security management; version control systems, including SVN and Git; data interchange using PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, and Shell scripting; optimizing complex SQL queries for Oracle and PostgreSQL databases to retrieve large datasets and utilizing REST APIs for back-end communication and live JSON data parsing.
