About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small and dynamic team in our London headquarters. As a Senior KDB Developer at B2C2, you will help design, develop and support all of our data collections. This position will work closely with our front office traders and quants.
B2C2 operates a hybrid working model, with an option to work remotely up to two days per week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enhance and develop analytics, to provide transparency and insights in to new and existing domains, for the management and front office teams
- Develop data ingestion processes to curate, collect and store large volumes of data, from internal trading and external market data systems
- Create and optimise data access framework, for realtime dashboards, execution analytics and market microstructure research
- Design and build CEP processes to monitor data anomalies and generate signals
- Troubleshoot, maintain and enhance the robustness, efficiency and cost of the system
- Engage in the entire software lifecycle including research, piloting, implementation, comprehensive testing, release, and post-release support
Required Skills and experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ professional data/analytics development
- In-depth experience in most of the following areas:
- Strong expertise in KDB+/q
- Solid Linux system engineering with low-level network and kernel knowledge
- Experienced with large storage management, distribution and fault recovery
- AWS service and Kubernetes configuration
- Level 1 / 2 / 3 market data
- Big data optimisation, analysis and visualisation
- Continuous integration
- Clean and efficient coding style
- Self-starter, confident and driven
- Able to work autonomously and as part of the team
- Eager to learn, attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Python / Java programming
- Kafka / Redis
- KX Dashboard / Grafana / Jupyter
- Docker container build and management
- Cloud-based KDB+ deployment
- Low latency / high frequency trading
- Crypto / FX / Options knowledge
