We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Financial Service Officer

In this role, you will:

  • Act as the subject matter expert (Individual Contributor) in the certain work queues / processes by resolving the team's queries / referred issues, providing advice on cases handling, and providing input / assistance from the technical perspective in team's projects / streamlining initiatives. 
  • Assist in reviewing and updating the procedures, work processes and product knowledge with minimal guidance.
  • Assist in analyzing and recommending quality / productivity control measures to improve the quality / productivity of the process.
  • Perform the daily operation tasks for Schedule, Financial statement preparations, Quality Check on the data quality perform by the junior staff. 
  • Reassessing the operational risks inherent in the business and implementing changes, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators, accompanied by the appropriate internal control standards relevant to the role.
  • Streamline processes and provide active participation in system automation and other efficiency and integration project

To be successful you will:

  • A Bachelor’s degree, accounting background is a must.
  • Certified Public Accountant / Intermediate Accountant is preferred.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance.                        
  • Good command of spoken and written English skills.Computer literate and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Evidence of strong analytical, statistical and data mining skills to study trends, make projections and to interpret numeric information. Evidence of strong operational decision making and be able to provide analytical support to the teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationship with business units and continuously give feedback by stringent follow-up on service level agreements.
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to change along with changes in corporate and department objectives in addition to recommending changes to assist in meeting these objectives.
