DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Test Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Test Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Working with full-stack development for web and mobile applications, test automation frameworks, accessibility testing, and ADA compliance; Building machine learning models including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning; Developing containerized APIs with Docker and managing Kubernetes for secrets, replica sets, autoscaling, and disaster recovery; Designing scalable microservices architecture using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Integration, Spring Batch, Spring Kafka, Hibernate, and JVM optimization; Front-end development with ReactJS, Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Ajax, jQuery, DOM manipulation, and Redux; Handling AWS cloud management including EC2, CloudWatch, load balancing, and ephemeral storage; Implementing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git, and Terraform; Working with secure authentication and authorization using CyberArk, Kerberos, ADFS, and OAuth 2.0; Performance testing with JMeter and Blazemeter; Monitoring and reporting with Datadog, Dynatrace, and Splunk; Using mobile functional testing, analytics QA automation, and data modeling for Cassandra and DynamoDB; Working with Kafka management; Feature flagging with Split.io; Unit testing with JUnit, Mockito, Jest, and Sonar; Web automation using Selenium and Cucumber; Utilizing visual QA with Applitools; Conducting accessibility audits using AXE and CCA; Implementing accessibility best practices with ARIA; Working with assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA or Switch Control; providing A11y solutions, guidance, and inclusive design advocacy; Automating end-to-end user flows and components with Cypress; Implementing RESTful and GraphQL APIs for seamless integration across distributed systems, using Gradle and Maven for build automation, and applying advanced data structures, algorithms, and design patterns to optimize performance and scalability; Working with robust logging and error handling strategies, leading Agile development teams; Conducting code reviews; Ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility; Implementing Single Sign-On and Multi-Factor Authentication for security; Managing large-scale data migrations and ETL processes; Optimizing SQL and NoSQL queries; and Developing comprehensive technical documentation and user guides.
