DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: 3- or 4-year Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years (60 months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Systems Developer, IT Consultant, IT Analyst Programmer, Systems Associate, or related occupation. Employer will accept 3- or 4-year bachelor's degree.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: building high-performance REST APIs and programs using Java and Amazon Web Services (AWS); implementing APIs based on architecture frameworks and guidelines; developing software utilizing Spring and Spring Boot and Maven or Gradle to resolve application dependencies; developing microservices using Spring Boot; building applications utilizing JSON or XML formatted data files and service payloads for data transfer; developing and maintaining dynamic and interactive dashboards using Tableau or Qlik Sense to leverage advanced visualization, ETL automation, and ODBC connectors; automating the production of recurring reports and dashboards using ETL techniques such as batch processing, full extraction, or data transformation; performing data manipulation, data structuring, data design flow, and query optimization using programming languages including SQL; monitoring API performance; integrating new code into existing continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery and deployment (CD) pipelines; utilizing Microservices, Containers, and Kubernetes for efficient API orchestration and service-oriented architecture (SOA); service-oriented architecture (SOA) and event streaming including Kafka; API development tools including J2EE, JUnit, GIT, JSON, Apache JMeter, and Docker; and API security and authentication mechanisms.

Full-Time. Salary: $161,500.00-$185,000.00 per year.
