Join our newly formed UK Sales & Commercial team at a pivotal moment of growth and transformation. This team is dedicated to supporting businesses ranging from small enterprises to organisations with over 250 employees—an exciting and fast-evolving segment with significant untapped potential.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of shaping a brand-new function, playing a key part in building the foundations for long-term success while driving ambitious growth plans. You’ll contribute to redefining our routes to market and transforming the channel, enhancing both customer and colleague experiences along the way.
With responsibility for the commercial strategy across a £1.5bn SME & Inside Sales P&L, as well as our Digital channel, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact—delivering meaningful results and helping to shape the future of BT Business.
• Shape and deliver both short- and long-term commercial strategies for the SME segment and digital channel, driving sustainable growth.
• Lead market analysis and competitor intelligence, turning insights into clear, actionable recommendations that inform strategic decision-making.
• Identify and capitalise on emerging market opportunities, developing initiatives that create and sustain competitive advantage.
• Define and optimise channel strategies to expand market reach and maximise performance across SME, Inside Sales, and Digital.
• Act as the voice of the customer—leveraging market insight, buying behaviours, and win/loss analysis to refine our commercial approach and improve success rates.
• Translate complex strategies into clear, compelling narratives, influencing senior stakeholders and shaping key business decisions.
• Strong business acumen: A deep understanding of business strategy, market dynamics, and organisational context, with the ability to connect these to real-world outcomes.
• Commercially driven: Clear grasp of the key drivers of performance, including KPIs, business cases, and the people factors that influence success.
• Financially literate: Confident interpreting financial performance, with a solid understanding of how operational activity translates into P&L outcomes.
• Exceptional communicator: Skilled at simplifying complex ideas into clear, compelling messages that influence and drive action at all levels.
• Strategic planner: Highly organised and forward-thinking, able to build momentum through well-structured plans and strong governance in a matrix environment.
• Leadership capability: Proven ability to lead, align, and inspire others—navigating competing priorities while bringing teams and senior stakeholders on the journey.
• 10% on target bonus
