Description
Responsible for leading and co‑ordinating supply chain partners to deliver IT capabilities aligned to business strategies, outcomes and benefits, ensuring delivery within allocated annual budgets, agreed timelines and quality standards. The role includes ownership of delivery plans, governance and stakeholder engagement, supporting effective transition into business‑as‑usual, and ensuring that financial, commercial and performance commitments are met in a complex and fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Leadership and co‑ordination of suppliers to ensure IT capability is successfully delivered to enable Heathrow to achieve its business priorities.
- Review and agree the project delivery plan to support all aspects required to realise the defined business outcomes, including Heathrow activities such as business change and transition into business‑as‑usual support.
- Create and maintain a safe working environment and care for the wellbeing of others.
- Act as Project Sponsor with strong stakeholder engagement, working with key partners to understand and define business needs and deliver benefits and outcomes.
- Lead scope on the project, ensuring scope changes follow the defined approval process, alongside investment governance, portfolio planning and orchestration of delivery.
- Support the creation of the business case, ensuring benefits and critical success factors are clearly identified, and assist the business in strategy creation and defining the portfolio of projects to deliver it.
Qualifications
- Previous experience of leading the delivery of a portfolio of multiple, multi‑million‑pound projects using both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Validated experience of delivering projects in highly complex and fast‑paced environments.
- Validated experience of working in an outsourced model, either as a client or supplier.
- Accountability for all aspects of project delivery, including financial management and commercial negotiation.
