Evri is entering a period of significant organisational development and strategic growth. With the integration of DHL eCommerce UK into the business and its transition into Evri Premium, the organisation is expanding its operational scale, across the UK. This evolution brings increased complexity across employment frameworks and requires dedicated, specialist in-house legal capability.

To support this, Evri is creating a new Senior Employment Counsel role. This is a strategically important appointment, designed to provide expert leadership across all areas of employment law. The role will play a central part in shaping the organisation’s workforce models and influencing key decisions at senior levels.

This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of employment law, operations, and workforce strategy within a large, multi-brand, national employer.

Key Responsibilities

Employment Tribunals & Litigation

- Manage and oversee the organisation’s employment tribunal case load, and where relevant liaise with panel firms and counsel.

- Develop litigation and settlement strategies aligned to operational and commercial priorities.

- Prepare and coordinate documentation for hearings and liaise with external counsel.

- Lead the response to employment status claims and other complex litigation matters.

Workforce Model Strategy

- Provide authoritative legal advice on employment status across self-employed, worker and hybrid models.

- Lead the continued development of Evri’s courier and contractor models in response to evolving legislation and case law.

- Support senior stakeholders in assessing the legal impact of operational and strategic change.

Union Engagement & Industrial Relations

- Support engagement with the GMB and other representative bodies.
