Are you ready to shape the future of our People function at Boots? We are seeking a forward-thinking People Technology Manager to lead our People Systems landscape in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and enhance the colleague and candidate experience through cutting-edge technology.

You will lead a small team of specialists, ensuring our systems are efficient, integrated, and deliver exceptional experiences.

Key Responsibilities

As the People Technology Manager, you will:

  • Lead and Develop a Specialist TeamManage and coach a team of system specialists, setting clear direction, building capability, and ensuring high performance across all platforms.

  • Drive System Optimisation and IntegrationOversee the performance, configuration, and continuous improvement of all people systems, ensuring they are streamlined, scalable, and effectively integrated.

  • Partner with StakeholdersCollaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to identify current and future technology needs, translating these into impactful solutions.

  • Manage Vendor RelationshipsWork closely with external suppliers to influence product roadmaps, maximise system value, and ensure delivery against business requirements.

  • Leverage Data & InsightsUse analytics and feedback to evaluate system effectiveness, inform decision-making, and continuously enhance user experience and adoption.

  • Drive Innovation and Emerging TechnologyExplore and implement new technologies, including AI and automation, to improve efficiency and transform how we deliver people services.

  • Improve Efficiency and AutomationIdentify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual processes, and increase operational effectiveness across all platforms.

What You’ll Need to Have (our must-haves)

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven expertise in HR technologies

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and digital workplace tools

  • Experience managing and developing technical or systems-focused teams

  • Strong project and programme management capability, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Demonstrated ability to drive technology strategy and transformation

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

Nice to Have (Highly Desirable)

  • Experience with HRIS systems

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM/ATS platforms
